The production matrices are established by considering the full picture of cosmic-ray hadronic interactions and the subsequent decays. This work is the extension of our earlier work on gamma-ray production published in Astroparticle Physics. You are recommended to download as well as read through this following article titled
Gamma-Rays Produced in Cosmic-Ray Interactions and the TeV-band Spectrum of RX J1713-3946, C.-Y. Huang, S.-E. Park, M. Pohl and C. D. Daniels, Astropart. Phys. 27 (2007) 429
to look at the methodology of gamma-ray production in hadronic interactions with the decay processes and also the definition of energy binning involved.
It is strongly recommended to read the manual (for lepton production) prior to using the matrices.
You can download the manual as pdf file or as ps file.
It is also strongly recommended to read the following article to understand how the lepton production matrices are re-produced.
